BE HUMBLE OR BE HUMBLED

Daniel 4:29-35

Humility is honouring GOD above yourself,
It is being submissive to the Father of all spirits, not having a “reputation” to keep.

It is giving God the Glory for what He has done through you, recognising YOU ARE A VESSEL

From our text in Daniel we see a King who was proud and had to be humbled(was behaving as an animal for a period of 7years and by God’s Mercy He was restored after learning His Lessons of Humility,
However in our memory verse in Acts 12:23 we see another King, who was lifted up in pride, and was brought down by angel of God’s Jealousy.

Also note, “Humility is from the heart before the act(ion)”

Never see humility as an Old fashioned act, recognise everything you can do is by God’s grace,
So remain Humble and you will be exalted into more glory(1 Pet 5:5)

Action Point: Ask God to help you with to be humble

THE VISIONARY CHRISTIAN 3
Daniel 2:1-19

The King requested a seemingly hard thing and this would have led to the death of the wise men of Babylon including Daniel and His Friends,
Daniel asked that the King give Him Time and He went to His Brethren and they prayed that God will have mercy concerning this hidden matter,

At the end God Answered, and Daniel received a Vision
And they were delivered from disaster

How Do We become men/women of Vision,

From Daniel’s story, we see the need to WAIT on the Lord,
Living Bible
#Isaiah 40:31 But they that WAIT upon the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.

When you mount up in the place of prayer and fellowship, You begin to see with heavenly Vision, and also solutions come above the world’s problems

#WeWalkByFaith, #God’sPerpective #for the One who is living in you is far greater than the one who is in the world.

================
IGNORE MOCKERS
2 Peter 3:1-9
2 Peter 3:3 Above all, you must understand that in the last days mockers will multiply, chasing after their evil desires.(TPT)

“If you know you are preparing for greatness, there’s one group of people you must be prepared to deal with- the Mockers” — Pastor Enoch Adeboye(Daddy G.O)

A mocker is someone who makes FUN of something or someone,

Some people mocked Jesus on the cross, others spat on Him, He appeared like a Failure,(helpless) but that was His Path in destiny and at the end even NOW He is CROWNED WITH GLORY AND HONOUR, EXALTED High Above any other.( Luke 22:63, Philippians 2:9-11)

Another example was Joseph( Genesis 37)

One thing is that once you know your path,
not everyone may buy in to the vision or goal but DON’T LET mockers mock you down, instead TAKE the actions God has instructed that you should

There’s no impossibility with Him, He still works wonders, That vision is a strategy for the deliverance of generations

Today’s Topic GREATER GLORY
Text from Exodus 34:24-35

Greater Glory talks a higher level of glory,

Our text tells us of MOSES who paid the price of waiting on God on the mountain for a period of over 40days and night,
He did so because God told Him to #WAIT
At the end of the waiting season, He had this testimony,
That His face SHONE so bright he had to cover it to speak with Aaron and the people of Israel.

He entered new levels of glory by SACRIFICE, not eating, but staying in the mountain(a “dry” place, where no “entertainment or comfortable spot may be)

Are you taking your relationship with God “casually”
God is calling you deeper still,
Don’t let the current situation stop from not seeking God,
He says And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.
Jeremiah 29:13

Tests and Temptations of Life
RUTH 1:8-16

Ruth 1:16 And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God:

“When it seems all else has failed, Will you remember that Jesus is still Faithful, and He will lift you.”

Test and trials are circumstances that God allows and uses to check our level of commitment and submission to Him,(James 1:3 Genesis 22;2)

While temptation are grounds of lust the devil comes with to check if we will yield to it(Luke 4:1-13)
but when we pass these we get PROMOTED in the Spirit and physically.

James 1:2-4
My fellow believers, when it seems as though you are facing nothing but difficulties see it as an invaluable opportunity to experience the greatest joy that you can!(from Knowing God more in that situation)

For you know that when your faith is tested it stirs up power within you to endure all things.
And then as your endurance grows even stronger it will release perfection into every part of your being until there is nothing missing and nothing lacking.

Temptations will come to check if a lust is in your heart. But let the word of God be hidden in your heart(beliefs/convictions) so you won’t SIN against God. (Psalm 119:11)

Other people’s destinies are tied to and will be helped by your passing that test
Be faithful,
Hebrews 6:15 And So, After He Had PATIENTLY ENDURED, he OBTAINED the promise.

Today’s topic: WAKE UP!
Text: Luke 12:39-40
Luke 12:39 Of course, if they knew ahead of time the hour of the master’s appearing, they would be alert, just as they would be ready if they knew ahead of time that a thief was coming to break into their house.

This Topic IS A CALL to wake from sleeping,

And this is not physical sleeping,
It’s a Spiritual state

Sleeping is seen in someone who no longer engages in spiritual activities that will help your growth/development spiritually.

As Christians we are advised to WATCH and PRAY. (Mark 13:33)

It’s never a good thing to be sleeping on duty, you can be attacked.

PRAYER : Ask God to quicken you and grant you grace to watch and be strong in His grace

Today’s Topic: REMEMBER NOT
Text: Isaiah 43:18,19

Isaiah 43:18
Do not Remember the former things, neither consider the things of old.

43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

==================
Success is good, but when achieved, it should be a drive and must be “forgotten” to achieve more,

Paul puts it’s this way,

I admit that I haven’t yet acquired the absolute fullness that I’m pursuing,
but I run with passion into his abundance so that I may reach the purpose that Jesus Christ has called me to fulfill and wants me to discover.
I don’t depend on my own strength to accomplish this; however I do have one compelling focus: I forget all of the past as I fasten my heart to the future instead.
The Passion Translation Philippians 3:12-13

As young people we seem to get carried away by our previous results, but realise someone also wants what you did, you to keep fulfilling God’s purposes, you must be disciplined to look to the future,
There are more celebrations ahead, our text reminds us, New ,things are ahead,

Today’s topic TIME FOR CHANGE
Matthew 3:5-12

Text Highlight,
Matthew 3:7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
3:8 Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance:

====================
— Change refers to a turn around in either the positive or negative sense

— Change is accompanied by evidences(fruits)

Despite the pharisees being a high esteemed reoigous group John told them they needed to show fruits of the change of repentance. they claim to have undergone

— As Christians, DON’T get to the point you are no longer following what Jesus is doing, yet you are busy with activities,

Or you get familiar with service to God

— Areas of Backsliding may not be sin but maybe a commitment, to doing something for God,

—It’s time to GO BACK TO DOING His Will
Never be hypocritical, you don’t have to be fake in your service,
It can be real

—Ask Jesus for grace to be more committed
a change for the better

Acts 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;

From the adult devotional,
(As parents, it’s important we learn to speak well if out Children, Bless them despite any disappointments)

Happy Children’s Month

The topic is GOD CAN USE YOU .
1 Samuel 3:1-10
3:4 That the LORD called Samuel: and he answered, Here am I. 3:10 And the LORD came, and stood, and called as at other times, Samuel, Samuel. Then Samuel answered, Speak; for thy servant heareth.

As young people realise God is intrested in your service to Him in your youth(young age)

We see the Life of Jesus who went to the temple at the age of 12
And was discussing the Scriptures with professors of the Law
The Passion Translation Luke 2:49 Jesus said to them, “Why would you need to search for me? Didn’t you know that it was necessary for me to be here in my Father’s house, consumed with him?”

This passion is God given it’s called hunger.
When you are passionate about ,spreading the gospel God begins to use you to do things and even things “beyond your age”
It’s When you are interested in not just doing the “normal/average” Christian Life.

Being used by God is determined by if you’re available and usable,

Being available means you surrender your will and have consecrated yourself to God, Only Him and His will matters,
Then you live a sanctified life, that’s your Holiness, obeying God’s word to the letter.
Stay with the Word of the Lord and in prayers,
When you hear God’s Call, Answer
1 Samuel 3:3

This is a reminder that we are His
