Open Heavens TEENS Devotional Review, 26th July 2020 The Good Fight 2 Timothy 4:7-8
The Christian Life is a race that requires endurance to finish.
This race track is full of distractions and persecutions that want to decietfully push many to make wrong stops. Paul the Apostle had this testimony, 2 Timothy 4:7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: 4:8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
This means we too can have this report!
Looking away from the distractions and persecution unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy before Him endured the cross, despising the shame and is now set above.(Hebrews 12:2)
2:3 Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ Sometimes,it may look like impossible but “His grace is sufficient in ur weakness! So likewise, run with patience this race set before us.
Keep looking to Jesus, obeying what He says! If we suffer(endure) with Him, we will triumph and reign with Him 2 Timothy 2:12

MEMORISE: And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God… Luke 9:62
Bible Reading: Luke 9:59-62.
Luke.9.59 – And He said to another, Become My disciple, side with My party, and accompany Me! But he replied, Lord, permit me first to go and bury (await the death of) my father.
Luke.9.60 – But Jesus said to him, Allow the dead to bury their own dead; but as for you, go and publish abroad throughout all regions the kingdom of God.
Luke.9.61 – Another also said, I will follow You, Lord, and become Your disciple and side with Your party; but let me first say good-bye to those at my home.
Luke.9.62 – Jesus said to him, No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back [to the things behind] is fit for the kingdom of God.
1 Peter 5:8 says: “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:”
“Just as God is looking for people to set aflame for His kingdom, Satan is looking for people to devour (John 10:10). The fact that he is seeking, however shows that HE CANNOT DEVOUR EVERYTHING.” He shows you all the glitters of the world and uses them as bait. Don’t ever let those things entice you.
The moment you get to the stage where the pleasures of this world do not matter to you anymore, he knows he has lost you. This is as a result of knowing (continuously) the revelation of God’s Love and promises
The Passion Translation 1 John 2:15-17 A Warning Not to Love the World Don’t set the affections of your heart on this world or in loving the things of the world. The love of the Father and the love of the world are incompatible. For all that the world can offer us—the gratification of our flesh, the allurement of the things of the world, and the obsession with status and importance—none of these things come from the Father but from the world. This world and its desires are in the process of passing away, but those who love to do the will of God live forever.(1 John 2:15-17)
According to Peter, God had given us in Christ Jesus, all things that we need to live well despite the “promises/bait” of the Devil.
2Pet.1.3-4 – For His divine power has bestowed upon us all things that [are requisite and suited] to life and godliness, through the [full, personal] knowledge of Him Who called us by and to His own glory and virtue(excellence).
By means of these He has bestowed on us His precious and exceedingly great promises, so that through them you may escape [by flight] from the moral decay (rottenness and corruption) that is in the world because of covetousness (lust and greed), and become sharers (partakers) of the divine nature. “I pray for you just as Jesus prayed for Peter: the devil will not get you in the mighty name of Jesus.”

VOLUNTEER 2 Kings 3:11 But Jehoshaphat, the king of Judah, asked, “Isn’t there a prophet of the Lord with us? If so, we can find out what to do!” “Elisha is here,” one of the king of Israel’s officers replied. Then he added, “He was Elijah’s assistant.”
This text tells us of the relationship between a to serve His “Master” Elijah
This act can be compared to volunteering today.
Volunteering is simply serving with your skills in a particular place without monetary payment
It is usually done at holidays or free times.
A great advantage is that it exposes you to what you will like to do later in life, like maybe a catering school, the airport etc
Volunteering is a way of gaining great experience. Be willing to serve and develop yourself, becoming a person of value and connects you to people of value.
Trends are shifts in a way of doing something. These trends are popular among the fashion industry(way of dressing) , Music and others.
These trends are most times caused by an ungoldy inspiration. Copying these trends will not be appropriate because BELIEVERS are meant to INFLUENCE their environment as the SALT of The Earth and PERFUME OF CHRIST! (It shouldn’t be the reverse_2Corinthians 2:14)
It will be proper for us to understand that despite the trends, God himself never changes yet never outdated. (Malachi 3:6_Hebrews 13:8) Also as Believers we can remain ever relevant and godly.
So listen, “ Matthew 5:14-16 “Your lives light up the world. Let others see your light from a distance, for how can you hide a city that stands on a hilltop? And who would light a lamp and then hide it in an obscure place? Instead, it’s placed where everyone in the house can benefit from its light. So don’t hide your light! Let it shine brightly before others, so that the commendable things you do will shine as light upon them, and then they will give their praise to your Father in heaven.”
Anywhere you are is an opportunity to shine the light and love of Christ, Regardless of every trend that may come. #SaltOfTheEarth
Rom.12.1 – Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God–this is your spiritual act of worship. [NIV]
Good morning with God’s Love Grace and peace and welcome to today’s review for 16th July 2020 (open heavens Teens Devotional)
*MINI HELL* Matthew 18:22-35
Many to are unconsciously bringing torment to themselves by the character we sometimes display.
Our Bible text says, The Master had compassion on the Servant and yet the servant didn’t forgive his fellow servant.
*Ephesians 4:32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.*
As Believers, When you know deeply that God has forgiving you your sins, YOU SHOULD LET GO and forgive others … it may be difficult but very POSSIBLE because the love of God is in abundance in you heart.(Romans 5:5) You have to learn to lean on the Holy Spirit. Tell God and tell yourself you want to walk in Love. (1 Corinthians 13:4-8 Romans 13:8-9) Don’t keep your self trapped in such a torment of unforgivness
Keep no record of Evil or offences
Think no evil towards the next fellow. *#LoveMakesYouFree* For we are His Expression, Living Letters *@(#alive2Christ)*
Grace and peace and welcome to a Review for July 6th 2020.
We are Going Higher: PRAYER Luke 18:1-7
1 Thessalonians 5:17 Pray without Ceasing.
Jesus said Men(Male/Female)ought always to engage in prayer.
As Christ showed us by His Lifestlye, Prayer is the culture of the Believer’s Life.
Prayer is what causes shifts in life and a nation at large. The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working]. James 5:16b
In our bible text we saw that the Woman cried out to the Judge, knowing He had capacity to act. So also jesus said, Ask and it will be given.(Matthew 7:7)
He said Up till now, you have ASKED nothing in my name, but Ask that your joy be full.(John 15:16) Put God first by praying and indeed pray that His will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.
Grace peace and Welcome to an Online Review for July 6th 2020
SUCCESS STRATEGY REQUIRED 1 Corinthians 9:25-27
John 15:16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and BRING FORTH FRUIT, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
In the beginning, God spoke to man and said, … let them have dominion over … the earth…_Be fruitful… (Genesis 1:26&28)
Also from the text we see that Jesus called us as Believers to be successful in the Christian Journey.
But we need to realise since we are victors, we also need a strategy to ensure the victory is seen in the Earth. So a Man called Paul wrote,
1 Corinthians 9:26-27 For that reason, I don’t run just for exercise or box like one throwing aimless punches, but I train like a champion athlete. I subdue my body and get it under my control,… so that after preaching the good news to others I myself won’t be disqualified.
You have to be disciplined to be successful in the God given task ahead of you Like Jesus would, don’t just do things anyhow but trust and obey the Holy Spirit and make Decisions that will bring you closer to the goal in your heart.
Key Point: Allow the Holy Spirit guides you to make plans for whatever you want to achieve and stick with it.
Welcome to the Open Heavens Devotional Review, july 4th 2020 Grace and Peace as you grow in the Knowledge of God.
Topic STAY FOCUSED
Text: Psalm 112:6-8 (the man that trust in the Lord) Such a man will not be overthrown by evil circumstances. God’s constant care of him will make a deep impression on all who see it. He does not fear bad news, nor live in dread of what may happen. For he is settled in his mind that Jehovah will take care of him. That is why he is not afraid but can calmly face his foes.
In life and in fulfilling your destiny, a character you must develop is focus. You need to learn to not be carried away with your past victories or even mistakes or what people even say or think about you(appreciate or criticise). NEVER allow these things weigh you down because they may make you loose focus on God’s will for you.
– Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we’re in. Study how he did it. Because he never lost sight of where he was headed–that exhilarating finish in and with God–he could put up with anything along the way: cross, shame, whatever. And now he’s there, in the place of honor, right alongside God. [Heb.12.2 MSB]
Do you know that there is a natural birth, (how you were given birth to) and the Spiritual Birth…?
This Spiritual Birth is #necessary because when Adam sinned, our Spirits were separated from the God life and like a battery that is not charged, died.😫 But God still wants us to relate with Him, but He is a Spirit, so he sent Jesus to die, that anyone who believes will have a new spiritual Birth, 🤗
Let’s see, John 3:16, For God so loved the world and gave Jesus,… So God loves us, and Jesus died so we can enjoy a relationship with God(eternal life)
2Cor.5.17 – What this means is that those who become Christians become new persons. They are not the same anymore, for the old life is gone. A new life has begun! [NLT]
That’s what the Spiritual Birth is about, it gives you a hunger for the things of God. It begins to give your life a meaning and makes it bring glory to Him🤗
So if you are born again, feed your Spirit with the Word of God and prayers, so you can grow up
MEMORISE: Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: let thy glory be above all the earth. Psalm 57:11
– In every generation, BELIEVERS should continuously take up the life of Witnessing even with the new life/styles trends,
Psalm 145 Vs4 One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts.
The work of witnessing continue from Generation It’s up to us to “work the works of Him that sent us,” working not by our power but by His Spirit and Grace working in us…
vs7 They shall abundantly utter the memory of thy great goodness, and shall sing of thy righteousness.
8 The Lord is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.
The idea may come and you may not know how to start but trust God for wisdom and resources’ … make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of his kingdom.(12)
For He Reigns Forever, even in the secular world, Let Jesus be seen,
