WINE OF THE SPIRIT

Nobody gets drunk by smelling wine, you can only get drunk by drinking wine.

Some people choose one kind of wine and some another kind and yet they get drunk but the most dangerous kind of wine for heavy intoxicating effect is mixing different kinds of wine.

Lets keep mixing different kinds of wine for a dangerous intoxicating experience and devastating effect on the kingdom of darkness.

From the Open Heavens Devotional
Grace, Mercy and Peace, Welcome to today’s Devotional Review, 26th April 2020.

Topic: INTERCESSION FOR LEADERS
Text: 1 Tim 2:1-4

(HIGHLIGHT)The Passion Translation
Most of all, I’m writing to encourage you to pray with gratitude to God. Pray for all men with all forms of prayers and requests as you intercede with intense passion… so that we would be able to live tranquil, undisturbed lives, as we worship the awe-inspiring God with pure hearts.

It is written,
…When you Smite the Shepherd, the sheep scatters…

Prayer is one very important tool that guides our leaders. Despite their position, Paul writes that we should PRAY for them
WHY?

— They make decisions that can influence your (individual) life, family, and even the Church.

Even with the current situation, We see that #wisdom, the fear of God and Justice is needed for them to carry out the assignment of governance,
2 Samuel 23:3

Praying for our Leaders cuts across secular government to Leaders of Organisations, to Church leaders so that people are led rightly.

If you don’t pray
—Then leaders may be unwise in decisions, making decisions from wrong counsellors or
Also Wrong policies may be against the Church (Acts 12:1-2)

— Believers need to pray because Light needs to shine so that God’s Glory is SEEN in the Leadership Sphere
Isaiah 60:1-3

(Raise a Prayer for your boss/political officers and pastors)

DON’T BETRAY GOD

Hebrews 6:4-6

Betraying God simply talks of leaving His Will,
Betraying Him talks of turning back to the world(system) AT THE EXPENSE of His Word.

We see Judas who allowed(turned) Himself to be used by the devil despite following Jesus around,
One thing to note is the Lord loves it when we follow Him with our Hearts, without Looking Back (Remember Lot’s wife)

Also God knows them that are His,
Paul writes ” But the firm foundation of God has written upon it these two inscriptions: “The Lord God recognizes those who are truly his!” and, “Everyone who worships the name of the Lord Jesus must forsake wickedness!” 2 Tim.2:19

A proof of God’s love for us is His commitment to us. Stop joking around, God calls You to HIS Embrace Fellowship (1John 1:7)

AMP:But if we [really] are living and walking in the Light, as He [Himself] is in the Light,… the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses (removes) us from all sin and guilt [keeps us cleansed from sin in all its forms and manifestations].

Welcome to today’s Review for April 25th 2020

Today’s topic is Don't Betray LOVE

From today’s devotional, we see that “there’s a tendency to misbehave when someone loves you /takes interest in you,”

Sometimes love makes someone strict towards you,
Realise The person doesn’t want you to walk on the wrong path,

When someone who loves you for example your teacher in school, or a mentor, takes intrest
You may see it as an opportunity to not work as hard, because you are in the good books of that person
You may feel I know how to talk to him/her

But instead of that, realise this person is investing in you, so you should respond by obeying with all your heart any instruction,

The Passion Translation Hebrews 12:11 Now all discipline seems to be more pain than pleasure at the time, yet later it will produce a TRANSFORMATION OF CHARACTER, bringing a harvest of Righteousness and peace to those who yield to it.

Enjoy the TRAINING

OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL (FOR TEENS)
DATE: FRIDAY, APRIL 24TH, 2020.
THEME: DON’T BETRAY TRUTH?

MEMORISE: Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me. Psalms 41:9

READ: Matthew 7:12
[12]Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.

MESSAGE:
It is a rare privilege for someone to trust you. When someone puts something in your care. It means that they trust you and expect you to take good care of that thing. This is a great responsibility and you ought to live up to it. David recognised this when he was given the family sheep to take care of. He ensured that none of the sheep got missing. When a bear and a lion attacked, he risked his life to protect the sheep.
If someone trusts you with money, it does not give you the liberty to spend the money as you please. You must give account of every kobo. When you prove yourself trustworthy, they will trust you even more and definitely reward you. Even if the fellow who trusted you does not reward you, God who sees your heart will reward you like He rewarded Joseph. Potiphar trusted Joseph with everything in his home and he did not fail. Even though Potiphar three Joseph into prison, God rewarded Joseph by Himself.

REFLECTION:
Can people around you trust you?

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
2 Samuel 10-12; Luke 19:29-48

Hymn 11

  1. Is your life a channel of blessing?
Is the love of God flowing through you?
Are you telling the lost of the Savior?
Are you ready His service to do?

Chorus:
Make me a channel of blessing today,
Make me a channel of blessing, I pray;
My life possessing, my service blessing,
Make me a channel of blessing today.2. Is your life a channel of blessing?
Are you burdened for those that are lost?
Have you urged upon those who are straying
The Savior who does on the cross

  1. Is your life a channel of blessing?
Is it a daily telling for Him?
Have you spoken the word of salvation?
To those who are dying in sin?
  2. We cannot be channels of blessing
    If our lives are not free from sin;
We will barriers be and a hindrance
To those we are trying to win.

Today’s Discussion:
Rivers of Living Waters

John 7:37-38

Mark 16:17 And these miracle signs will accompany those who believe: They will drive out demons in the power of my name. They will speak in [fresh] tongues.
(The Passion Translation)

God has a gift to everyone, who believes in Jesus,
The Gift of The Holy Ghost,

_The Holy Spirit was promised to the disciples and would be with believers forever. Thus it’s important for EVERYONE who is saved to have the experience of the promise,

Realise that this is promised even from the Old testament to the new, that anyone who believes will have the evidence of this promise,
Joel 2:28,

We see some signs accompanying this experience, Joel says Prophesy, Healing, Vision all come as a result of the presence of this Holy Spirit in a life, (this overflows as rivers of LIFE-GIVING waters indeed!)

How does He enter a life
Acts 2:38-39 Peter replied, “ Repent and return to God, and each one of you must be baptized in the name of Jesus, the Anointed One, to have your sins removed.
Then you may take hold of the gift of the Holy Spirit. For God’s promise of the Holy Spirit is for you and your families, for those yet to be born and for everyone whom the Lord our God calls to himself.”
.
It’s my desire we come to this knowledge then we change our world💃

Psalms 121:1-8

(Highlight:
Psalm 121:4-8 He will never slumber nor sleep; he is the Guardian-God for his people, Israel.
Jehovah himself will watch over you; he’s always at your side to shelter you safely in his presence.
He’s protecting you from all danger both day and night.
He will keep you from every form of evil or calamity as he continually watches over you.
You will be guarded by God himself.
You will be safe when you leave your home and safely you will return.

He will protect you now, and he’ll protect you forevermore!)

*#Many_times we are faced with trouble as young people, Sometimes threatened by maybe a classmate,an older one, sometimes we can’t really do anything to defend, but the Scripture says,

Despite the trouble we are faced with , God is our very present Help,

(Psalm 46:1).
His name IS a strong tower, the righteous find safety there

Text: Psalms 103:3-5
Bless the Lord…
Living Bible Psalm 103:3-5
*He forgives all my sins.
*He HEALS me.*
He ransoms me from hell.(the experience of separation from God)
He surrounds me with loving-kindness and tender mercies.
He Fills My Life With Good Things! My(Your) youth is renewed like the eagle’s!

The Psalmist is reminding us of the great privilege to give thanks

For Good health, Give thanks,
Divine Healing and Diving health is a right for everyone just as salvation us for everyone , not for some “men of God”. God is life, there is no death or sickness with Him We see Jesus went about healing and at times restoring the dead back to life, Give thanks because you are a benefactor of this BY FAITH. (Acts 10:38)

For Having the appetite to eat, GIVE THANks, because not everybody can eat

Don’t complain or trivialse God’s blessings Instead give thanks for HE IS GOOD, His mercy endures forever.💞

BE GRATEFUL
Psalm 103:1-3

Gratefulness is a sign of appreciation, that you are thankful

.TPT Psalm 103:1-3

With my whole heart, with my whole life, and with my innermost being, I bow in wonder and love before you, the holy God! Yahweh, you are my soul’s celebration. How could I ever forget the miracles of kindness you’ve done for me? You kissed my heart with forgiveness, in spite of all I’ve done. You’ve healed me inside and out from every disease.

It is said, you will be tank full if you’re thankful
One of the greatest blessings we can be thankful for, even n this season, as we remember the ressurection is FORGIVENESS,

This gift of having all your sins forgiven by Grace,
Paul said we are to give thanks abundantly,
We can likewise extend this gift to others, since Christ forgave you your sins,
