SECRET SINS
Text from Numbers 20:1-7

Secret sins are faults, usually hidden and sometimes used by the devil to accuse a believer.

Checking through the lives of some Bible figures like Moses we see how mighty he was used by GOD but sometimes he allowed anger rule him. This costed him entrance to the promised land of Canaan.
Secret sins never produce good results.

No matter how sweet they are. The end is a separation from the good and abundant life God has for you. The devil only uses that to attract people but it’s like a cage that He cannot be free.

How do I break free?
Call on Jesus. (John 8:32 and 36) This is his business and all you need to do is believe His Word.
David told us that a young man can cleanse his way by obeying the word of God(Psalm 119:11)
Tell Jesus that secret sin and ask Him to help you deal with it. He won’t judge you that oh you did this. He knows what if feels to be tempted too.(Hebrews 4:15 so
Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

God Loves and He cares No to secret sins

Bible study is essential part of Christian living. The Word of God as David wrote is a light unto my feet…(Psalm 119:105)
David has come to understand and value the word of God to him personally and not just the entire congregation.

Many believers today live by what this pastor’s says. Even as we honour the pastor as God’s servant. It’s not an excuse for you to not study the Bible yourself. There are some understanding and revelations you cannot get from the pastor but the Holy Spirit himself will guide you as Jesus promised.(John 16:13)
Our text is an example of some notable beliebers who didn’t see the sunday’s teaching as an excuse not to study but to study more. They are called noble .

Develo/Join Bible study groups to remain efficient/accountable to your plans.
Study to show yourself to God. rightly dividing the word of Truth. 2 Timothy. 2:15

INTERNET AND YOU
1 Corinthians 6:11-14.

Our world is growing more techy daily. New inventions/tech are coming up so fast and the world is being connected more and more.

As Christian teens, we have to be watchful. There are various secret/deceitful platforms the devil brings our way while surfing the net/social media that can be very dangerous to your spiritual growth. Don’t allow your heart be carried away by the latest this/that or trend online that you forget God’s desire for you to live pure and share the gospel everywhere you are. You can post scriptures on your wall, or lessons from a Christian book you are reading. But as Jesus said you are the light of the word and the salt of the Earth. You don’t have to be “salted/encouraged by the online trends but be the light/salt.

Savoury Salt.
Matthew 5:14
Jesus compared you and I to salt.

Salt’s value is seen when is not eaten alone.
Your value as a Child of God will be seen around others. Salt brings out the beauty of other ingredients making the whole meal sweet.
Never place so much emphasis on yourself.

Salt also preserves. By your words you can preserve. You don’t have to use so much salt to cook. Likewise, you don’t have to talk too much you may not be many Christains in a class/school/neighborhood but you can influence others through your prayers and YOUR WORDS. You preserve others.

Let your words be with grace that it may edify(build up) the hearers.(Ephesians 5:29)
Colossians 4:6 Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.

HOLINESS MADE SIMPLE
Luke 9:23-26

Living holy means being consecrated being different. It’s a separation.

Jesus said one thing we should do daily: Deny ourselves and pick up the cross

Luke.9.23 – And he said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.
Doing this seems very hard and impossible but a simple way to it is to do it DAILY. Tell God you want to obey Him TODAY and say it daily. when you don’t obey him, come to Him repent and tell him again. This builds in your heart a holy consciousness that you are alive and living forthr glory of the Lord Jesus

Living a holy life means you are walking in obedience to word of God.
Obedience to God is practised. Always be quick to obey. You will walk in Holiness.

#Daily as we live #Holiness made simple.

SIN AND UNANSWERED PRAYERS.
Isaiah 59:1-6

The Passion Translation John 16:24 Until now you’ve not been bold enough to ask the Father for a single thing in my name, but now you can ask, and keep on asking him! And you can be sure that you’ll receive what you ask for, and your joy will have no limits!

Jesus says we should call upon him and he will answer us(Jeremiah 33:3) but a great hindrance to answered prayer is sin.

David said,
Psalm 66:18
If I regard Iniquity in my heart. The Lord will not hear me

In our hearts sometimes we allow the Devil’s wrong thoughts in and we continually think about them. This consciously or uncounsciously leads to sin.
So learn to rather think on the Word of God.
A life lived in obedience to the word of God means your prayers will be anwered.
Repent and ask the lord to grant your desire (Mark 11:24)

Topic: FEED YOUR BRAIN
Text: Proverbs 18:1-2
Prov.18.1 – A man who isolates himself seeks his own desire; He rages against all wise judgment.
Prov.18.2 – A fool has no delight in understanding, But in expressing his own heart.

Prov.4.7 – Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding.

The Void of Knowledge is necessary to be filled for you have to live and to fly high.
The younger generation needs to learn to the spend resources(Time/Data, etc) to acquire knowledge
Don’t be so busy you don’t get to invest in yourself, in right Knowledge
“You begin to live right when you get the right knowledge.” …See;John 10:10

Proverbs 20:15 You may have an abundance of wealth, piles of gold and jewels, but there is something of far greater worth: speaking revelation words of knowledge.

Knowledge gives a wealth of experience which you will need it.
But take note that, Knowledge will be almost useless if you don’t apply.
Some of us are learning but not practising what you’ve learned. This is not profitable

The difference between the wise and fool is understanding. Get the right understanding.

1Cor.1.30 – He is the source of your life in Christ Jesus, whom God made our wisdom and our righteousness and sanctification and redemption.

Christ is ALL the wisdom you need.(Col. 2:3)

The CONSUMING FIRE
Deuteronomy 11:26-28

Fire is unlike any other thing. It doesn’t share itself but stands out from every other thing.
God is referred to in our memory verse as the consuming fire…and like fire he is different and doesn’t share a house but it takesover/engulfs

“If he is not Lord of all he cannot be lord at all”
Hudson Taylor,

God’s Generals.

God doesn’t like us sharing our commitment to him. He loves us to be 100 percent His.
When he is revealed as the fire, He also comes to purify everything. The fire destroys everything that is not righteous for every man’s work shall.be tested(1 Cor 3:6)
It also purifies(exposes and sharpens) God given talent/gifts.
Like moses, he was refined by God and was formely a stammerer but became mighty in speech(word) and deed(Acts 7:22)

God reaches to you today because His love is also fiery. It is different from every other kind of love. It is the obly one that satisfies.(John 10:10, John 3:16)

FIRE-QUENCHERS
Mathew 5:27-30

A Fire Quencher is one that puts out a burning fire

It prevents the fire from spreading to different places or newer territories.
God wants all of our lives, every aspect of us to be on fire for Him.

As a child of God there’s no doubt that you are the beloved of the Father (1 John 3:1) but as new creation, we must walk daily and consciously in the New Life.
The fire comes to consecrate our lives. When we yield to it totally, we are walking in the New Life.

But there things identified as quenchers of fire.
In the life of Samson, we see some characters/lust that we should avoid that will quench our fire
Lust of the flesh(What your body wants
Romans says SUBMIT your Body to the Holy Ghost and let Him work in you that you begin to live out righteousness.(Romans 6:14-17)

—Lust of the eyes are things your eye sees and wants to have… but the Bible says Let your vision be set on Heavenly things where Christ is…SET YOUR HEART on things Above!(Colossians 3:1-4)

Pride of Life
This should not be found in us because pride is a one way ticket to the destruction. (Proverbs 16:18). But let this mind be in you which was in Christ, who though being equal with God humbled Himself, became a man and lived on Earth and died the death of a criminal when he wasn’t one and now exalted. (1 Peter 5:5, Philippians 2:5-9)

Don’t give room for these things.
Keep looking into this Jesus and following the Spirit
